Melbourne (Bob) Cranshaw has for decades been a fixture in the elite rhythm sections of countless artists. Mr. Cranshaw's endless credits span through the diverse range of the music industry. He has appeared on a staggering 3,000 recordings and shared the stage with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Milt Jackson, Quincy Jones, Charles Azvanour, Camern McCrae, Buddy Rich, Mary Lou Williams, and Peggy Lee. For over forty years, he has been making music with Sonny Rollins. Mr. Cranshaw was the Musical Director for "The Dick Cavett Show," "The Merv Griffin Show," "The David Frost show," "Saturday Night Live," "The Electric Company," and "Sesame Street." He has a multitude of Film and Stage credits as well. Mr. Cranshaw remains a major musical force on the stages of the world as well as in academia, teaching privately at The New School University in New York.Back See All Boards & Committees
